Savings inside your own product
The Bondsmith API gives your product team deposit infrastructure behind a clean interface, with the banks, money movement and compliance handled by us.

Why savings is hard to build
Offering savings the hard way means a bank partnership for every rate, an EMI or banking licence, money-movement operations, AML/KYC and a ledger that reconciles to the penny: months to years of work before any of it earns a return.
- A separate integration and contract for every bank you want to offer
- Money movement, AML/KYC and reconciliation to run in-house
- FSCS and protection mechanics that are fiddly to get right
- Engineering time spent on banking plumbing
What can you build
Each of these can be offered as a standard savings account or as a Cash ISA, with Bondsmith as ISA manager.
Savings marketplace
A full multi-bank marketplace under your brand
Your customers choose from easy access, notice and fixed term products across a panel of more than 20 partner banks. Every product is held through one Bondsmith account, so one onboarding covers the whole panel. It is the broadest proposition we offer.
- A standalone savings offering with customer choice
- Easy access, notice and fixed term products on one panel
- One account, one onboarding and one set of statements
Single savings product
One account from one partner bank, under your brand
You choose the bank and the product type. Bondsmith handles onboarding, payments and servicing. Your customer sees a simple savings account with a single rate.
- The quickest and simplest route to market
- Savings as a feature inside an existing product
- A specific bank relationship you want to build on
White-label savings with the Bank Deposit Sweep
One account for the customer, many banks behind it
The customer holds a single account under your brand. Bondsmith sweeps the balance across three partner banks, keeping each portion within the FSCS limit of £120,000 per eligible depositor, per banking licence, and rebalances as often as daily. The customer sees one balance and one rate.
- Separate FSCS eligibility at each bank behind the product
- A competitive blended rate
- White-label savings product
How the API works
In plain English, without the reference documentation.
- 1
Authenticate
Your systems call the API with your credentials. Every request is tied to your programme.
- 2
Create a customer and run checks
You send the customer’s details. Bondsmith runs the AML and KYC checks and tells you the outcome.
- 3
Open and fund accounts
Choose products across the bank panel and move money in. The same calls cover withdrawals.
- 4
Stay in sync
Webhooks tell your systems about status changes, interest and movements as they happen, and typed SDKs keep the integration tidy.
- 5
Report
Pull balances, interest and statements into your own reporting whenever you need them.
Integration process
- 1
Documentation and access
Your team gets the API documentation and sandbox access.
- 2
Build and test
You build the savings flow inside your product and test it end to end against the API.
- 3
Sign-off
Commercial agreement, due diligence and set-up on the bank panel, handled once.
- 4
Go live
Your product starts taking deposits, with Bondsmith operating everything behind the API.
What you never have to build
One contract, whole panel
A single integration and a single commercial agreement covers every bank on the panel. No separate onboarding per institution.
Operations included
AML/KYC, onboarding, ledger, reconciliation and FSCS reporting run inside Bondsmith. Your team never touches them.
Your brand throughout
Bondsmith is invisible to your users. The product, the experience and the statements are yours.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a banking licence or EMI permission?
No. Bondsmith provides the regulated infrastructure and the bank panel, so you can offer savings without becoming a bank or an EMI yourself.
Which products can we offer through the API?
Instant access, notice and fixed term deposits from the bank panel.
How are our users’ deposits protected?
Deposits are placed with PRA-authorised, FCA-regulated UK partner banks. Eligible deposits are FSCS protected up to £120,000 per eligible depositor, per banking licence, with separate FSCS eligibility at each bank on the panel.
Can we combine the API with the white-label platform?
Yes. Some clients use the white-label front end alongside API-driven reporting, or start white-labelled and move to the API as their product matures.
